School Sweethearts Sam & Louise Tie the Knot at The Willows
September 5, 2022
They first locked eyes on the school bus; Sam and his friends could be found sitting at the back making loud noises and launching packed-lunch items as Louise watched on and rolled her eyes. Little did she know this innocent playground crush would blossom into a relationship full of adventures, and eventually lead to them tying the knot.
As long as I'm with you
Fast forward to February 2020, Sam and Louise were fortunate enough to be in Sydney, Australia as news was breaking of the COVID-19 outbreak back in the UK. As they stood out on their apartment balcony overlooking the beautiful Sydney harbour bridge, Sam decided that this was the moment to pop the question and ask Louise to spend the rest of her life with him.
She (of course) said yes and soon their wedding day was upon them.
Photographed by Leopard Print Photography, Louise opted for a stunning lace Enzoani dress from The Wedding Company Corbridge with a deep plunging neckline, intricate lace sleeves and a train fit for a princess to bring her vision to life. Louise’s “favourite feature was the back of the dress” with the minimalist, floor-length veil allowing the back to show all of its beauty; the bride could not have wished for anything more.
Whilst it’s usually all eyes on the bride, Sam’s blue three piece suit from S&S Attire brought the couple their good luck on the day. The look was tied together with a rich brown shoe and a boutonnière matching his finances bouquet; even their outfits were perfect for each other.
From the moment of arrival there wasn’t any doubt in their minds the Taylor’s knew that this venue was the one for them. The Willows At The Woodmans offered the elegant yet rustic feel that Louise had been awaiting with dark wood accents juxtaposing the light and airy walls – not to mention the gorgeous chandelier! The boho style of the venue speaks for itself with the endless photo opportunities and flawless simplicity, yet for Louise the staff were the main asset to the venue.
“From the second we booked The Willows the full experience was amazing” the decor had been “done out to a very high standard” and “all the food was 10/10, but I absolutely loved the pea soup & Sam loved his main especially the mash potato!”
The natural feel of the venue shone through as the neutral tones of the bridesmaid dresses by Pretty Lavish Bridal and the flowers by Rachel at Jasmine & Pear Flowers complimented idyllically. The bouquets were exactly what Louise had envisaged, the subtle green tones in the foliage contrasting the bright white flowers.
The staff at The Willows ensured that Sam and Louise had nothing to worry about on their big day: “the staff are absolutely amazing, nothing is too much hassle for them. The day couldn’t have run anymore perfectly thanks to the team.”
After her wedding, we asked Louise who went above and beyond to make sure her day was extra special. This is what she said:
“Rachael at Jasmine & Pear stood out to me because she is so talented. Not only an amazing florist, she is an all round lovely person, she is very knowledgeable & gives great advice on what would work for you and what would look good for your chosen wedding venue.”
“A few of our highlights were hearing my little cousin Sonny yawn during the ceremony as we were saying our vows! And the meal was absolutely amazing; I ate everything!”
The Willows At The Woodman’s will forever be a happy place for The Taylors.
